Martin and Amy Lamb set up the Shepherd's Arms Foundation a few years ago after seeing the need to assist local people who were struggling to make ends meet. Their aim is to help people physically and spiritually. So far the Foundation has set up a children's home that is registered with the Dept. of Social Welfare in the Philippines. The Foundation has a piggery and rice fields along with vegetable gardens to help with the cost of running the home.

There is also a thriving church and an outreach to help squatters near the prison. Micro enterprises have been set up to assist in this. For example the local women can learn how to sew in order to earn some money to feed their families. Martin and Amy also assist tribal pastors who run churches in their home areas. These pastors are often living in very poor areas and their churches are unable to support them financially.
